The PMC-10 is a small-diaphragm microphone providing all the advantages of this classic design, including exemplary frequency response and consistent polar pick up pattern across the entire frequency distribution. Thus, the PMC-10 can be deployed in a wide variety of recording situations, such as news anchor broadcasting, live performance, studio recording, etc.

 

PMC-10 is designed to incorporate transparent sound character and excellent attenuation of rear-incident sound, so as to reproduce sound sources in the most naturally manner. Thus, it is the ultimate "problem solver", even in difficult recording situations.

 

Its sound qualities include: flat frequency response, and the constancy of its directional pattern for all frequencies. Its frequency response is generally flat, with a slight increase at 10 kHz compensating for high-frequency losses in the room. Thus the sound image is transparent for direct-arriving sound, for sound arriving from the side, and for diffuse sound in the room (reverberation).

 

PMC-10 microphone capsule includes a pressure gradient transducer, applying a single diaphragm exposed to the sound from both front and rear, which makes It very sensitive to sound sources from greater distance.
